Upgrade Service
Have a hard drive and want to upgrade your ReplayTV but didn't want to do it yourself? Puchase this service, ship the drive to us, and we will prep the drive the same way we do the drives we sell.
Not all drives are compatible with all ReplayTV models. Please check with us with your drive model before sending the drive to us. We have tested most (but not all) Maxtor, Seagate, and Hitachi drives. We do NOT recommend Western Digital or Samsung drives although we can load the software at your own risk.
Our standard "Software Reload Guarantee" does not apply to these drives because we are not responsible for the hardware but should your drive fail, you can send it to us for diagnostics. If the drive proves to be defective, we will return the drive to you so you can get a replacement. Send the replacment to us and we will reload the software at a 20% discount. For a fee, we may offer to handle the warranty replacmeent with the manufacturer saving you the cost of return shipping to you, shipping to the manufacturer, shipping back to us, then returning to you.
On another note, if the drive you initially send us proves to be defective or incompatible, we will send the drive back to you and the service is nonrefundable.
