Unless otherwise stated, all orders are covered by a 30 day DOA warranty through us and a full manufacturers' warranty after 30 days. After 30 days, the warranty becomes the responsibility of the manufacturer and drives have to be returned to the manufacturer. Non-defective returns are accepted within 30 days but will be subject to a 35% restocking fee. Shipping, Handling, and Insurance fees are non-refundable. Please contact us for an RMA prior to returning any item. Please ship items back in original packaging if possible. Damaged items that were improperly packed may have its warranty voided. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. Drives shipped via USPS will be refused and returned to sender.
Absolutely no refunds or exchanges after 30 days. Returns within the first 30 days will be subject to a 35% restocking fee. All return shipping and handling costs are the responsibility of the customer. We had to impose a higher restocking fee to discourage use of our new drives for troubleshooting.
Effective 10 October 2008, remotes, power supplies, and other items without serial numbers are not returnable for any reason. We have had too many instances of customers sending us back their old parts claiming DOA. Sorry about the drastic measure but a few bad eggs have spoiled the fun of selling quality tested products. The only exceptions will be if the shipping package is damaged and proof and claim must be made within the same business day.
Our software reload guarantee has been changed. It will now apply only to drives that are still under warranty. All replacement drive upgrades are covered via our software reload guarantee. Should your drive fail while under manufacturer's warranty, we will reload and test your new drive free of charge. We require proof of failure such as the failed drive itself or a copy of the manufacturer's RMA showing the serial number of the drive replaced by that manufacturer. Returns shall be properly packed per our return guidelines of your warranty will be voided.
Installation is solely the responsibility of the customer. We are not responsible for damage to the unit caused by improper installation or handling. Customer should ensure that the correct model ReplayTV is specified when ordering a drive.
We are not responsible for any unit that suffers damage in transit to us or returning to you in non-original shipping boxes.

New Hard Drive Warranty
All brand new drives have the full manufacturers' limited warranty and the warranty varies with the drive models ranging from 1 to 5 years.
NOTICE: Effective 01 August 2008, we will be imposing warranty processing fees of $5 for drives 160GB and smaller and $10 for all drives larger than 160GB. We run exhaustive tests on all warrranty repairs and can no longer absorb the energy and manpower costs. While it is regrettable, such is the reality of our economy. Rather than raise our prices across the board, we are only imposing the fee on those who take advantage of the service. All upgrade drives purchased through us include our software reload guarantee. In the event your drive requires a software reload due to hardware failure or data corruption, we will reload your software free of charge but with a nominal processing fee effective 01 August 2008 for the duration of your drive's manufacturer warranty. We will be happy to diagnose your drive and handle the replacement through Maxtor (or other manufacturer) although you will be responsible for the cost of shipping the drive to the manufacturer and back to you. You will ship the drive to us first. If you choose to have it replaced by the manufacturer, we require a copy of the RMA to verify that your original drive has been replaced.
Our lifetime software reload guarantee does not apply to drives which have expired manufacturer's warranty. Drives with expired warranties will have a reload fee equal to 50% of a normal drive prep.
Preowned drives carry the remainder of the manufacturer's warranty and the original software reload guarrantee as stated above. If stated, some preowned drives will carry a 1 year limited prorata warranty.
All hard drives carry our software change courtesy service of a 50% discount for loading a different version of software onto the drive. If your ReplayTV unit fails or you purchase a new model and the drive is still under manufacturers warranty, we will reload the new software onto the drive at a 50% discount.
Customer owned drives sent in for software service only have no other warranty implied or provided through us. Customer is responsible for the hard drive warranty. Incompatible or defective drives send in by customers will be charged a 50% service fee even if we cannot load the software. Our software reload guarantee does not apply on customer provided drives.
Customer is responsible for all S&H&I charges incurred by any warranty or guarantee work. This includes shipping to the manufacturer and return shipment to the customer.
Upgraded and Refurbished Units
Unless stated otherwise, all of our upgraded and refurbished units have a minimum 30 day DOA warranty. If the unit fails within 30 days of delivery (according to our UPS tracking information), we will offer a refund or replacement, if available, upon return to us with all accessories. Upgraded units do not have intact manufacturer's warranty seals and the manufacturer may refuse to repair those units. All hard drives in upgraded units have the same drive warranties as stated above. If a replacement is not available, a refund of the purchase price minus S&H&I will be provided. Otherwise, returns are subject to a 35% restocking fee.
ReplayTV accessories
One-for-All remote controls have full manufacturer's warranties through One-for-All. All other components have individual manufacturer's warranties unless otherwise stated.
We accept returns for refunds within 30 days of delivery. Contact us for an RMA before shipping your unit to us. All returns are subject to a 35% restocking charge. We can not and do not resell such items as new and the 35% covers the depreciation. Shipping, Handling, and Insurance are non-refundable.
All drives and accessories purchased through us have a full 30 day DOA warranty and we will refund your purchase or ship you a replacement, if available.
